The Borger tree canopy trail is a special nature experience.

Walking among the tops of trees, who wouldn’t want that! The Borger tree canopy path offers this opportunity. From The Five Suites, you can be at the Boomkroonpad in 10 minutes.

From the entrance, you will first enter the root tunnel. This makes you feel as if you have landed in Alice in Wonderland. Indeed, here you can see the bottom of the forest. The hike continues through the tree canopy trail. Here you walk high among the tops of the trees. It is a special experience to see the forest, a squirrel in the top of the tree is suddenly at eye level.

The outdoor center boomkroonpad is also a starting point for several hikes ranging from 3 to 16 kilometers. There are also regular demonstrations and activities such as the spectacular raptor demonstration. There are several exciting activities for children, including building huts in the Lorkenspeelbos, playing on the Forest Meadow and nature scavenger hunts.

• Apr through Oct: daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m;
• Nov to Mar: on Sat from 10am-4pm and during school vacations (according to NL government advisory dates) daily from 10am-4pm;
• Closed Dec. 25 and 31 and Jan. 1.
