The workshop “Modeling Your Own Sculpture in Motion” is a three-day workshop for beginners and advanced sculptors taught by sculptor Dineke Beereboom from Friday, Sept. 9 (2 p.m.) through Sunday, Sept. 11 (noon).

It involves working with stylized human figures, movement and emotion, staying at the inspiring monumental farmhouse B&B “The Five Suites. This modern converted 1760 farmhouse is surrounded by a beautiful garden and is located in the lovely village of Elp, surrounded by the forests, moors and fens of Drenthe.

You will discover during the workshop how to convincingly express in an image what is on your mind. You can determine the shape of your image in your own style, using yourself as a starting point. In the process you will be guided step by step by Dineke Beereboom in the process of working from inspiration, applying techniques and shaping a strong composition.

Friday afternoon we will start with a visit to the interesting and diverse sculpture exhibition in the Sculpture Garden of Gallery Wildevuur, where Dineke will explain the sculptures and their design. After that, you get to work on your own.

The price of the workshop, which includes two nights in one of the five suites, all meals, coffee and tea, guidance and the necessary materials, is 445 euros.
